The Rescue Director, Jan Meyer, offers equine bodywork and energy medicine sessions for your
horse at your location in the Sacramento Valley. Dr. Meyer is a certified and insured equine bodyworker and
retains a Ph.D. in Education.

Work with our rescue horses in an atmosphere of peace and meditation at our ranch. We have integated three courses to bring you a holistic experience of the horse. Our integrated program includes prey animal and herd behavior, equine bodywork and equine reflective communication (ERC) . SORRY, UNVAILABLE AT OUR CURRENT LOCATION. Horses as Healers: Equine Reflective Communication ~ An experiential session for growth and self-reflection. The Rescue horses serve as mirrors for your personal reflections. Through a series of simple exercises, a safe and supportive environment is created for you and horse to communicate. This is not psychotherapy, but an introduction to the the healing opportunities horses provide for us! Horse experience is not required. Limited to 5 participants. Fee: $75. First Aid Workshop -On Location Equine First Aid Course Topics include: vital signs, immunity, circulatory shock, allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock, bleeding, injuries, snake bite, colic, choke, cuts/abrasions, heat stroke, hoof abscesses, poisoning. Use of standard and alternative medical approaches. Includes drugs to keep on hand, first aid kit for barn and trail, use of essential oils, to assist in maintaining health and treating specific ailments. First Aid Scenarios help student integrate information and apply to real time situations. Includes First Aid Flip Chart. Facilitator Format $60.00 Student Distance Delivery Format $55.00 Introduction to Equine Bodywork Workshop~ On Location. Overview of complementary approaches to healthcare for the equine, including massage therapy, stretching, myofascial release, energy work, and other healing modalities. Participants will learn a relaxation massage routine and basic acupressure points, how to do a body scan to elicite areas of interest on their horse, select acupressure and myofascial release techniques, the 5 superficial back checks for saddle readiness. Lecture and discussion, hands-on application. 3 hours. $75.00 per participant. Energy Medicine Course Participants will be introduced to energy testing (muscle testing AKA applied kinesiology) using human and horse, chakra clearing and revitilization, meridian and aura work, and acupressure. This class is for those interested in the concepts of energy medicine and how these concepts may be applied to healing the horse. Integrated application based on the work of Donna Eden and other well-known practitioners. Facilitator Format $60.00

Energy Healing Workshop~ On Location
Lecture, discussion, hands-on. This workshop introduces the participant to
energy healing techniques. Topics included: acupressure, body scans, working with the horse's meridian system, chakras
and bioenergetic field. Energy healing can enhance a sense of well-being, maximize the horse's energy and self healing
potential. 3 hours. $75.00 per participant.
Energy Healing II-Technology Workshop~ On Location.
Lecture, discussion, hands-on. This workshop adds the use of technology to
the concepts of energy healing. Includes use of Avazzia Best (Skenar-type) device for pain, inflammation and acute and
chronic conditions. Introduces Equine eTherapy, a computer-based delivery system for energy healing. 2 hours. $55.00
per participant.
Equine E-Therapy Course or Workshop NEW!!!!!!
Introduces the participant to technologically delivered energy medicine. Utilizes
the Harmonic Translation System software from New Science. Available as an on location workshop and distance learning.
Distance students must have PC with VGA monitor, speakers and Windows OS up through Vista to be compatible with the technology
or MAC with Windows.

Equine Behavior and Communication Series
(2 sessions plus observation). Combination of classroom work and experiential learning observing a
herd. Topics include: prey
animal and herd animal characteristics, body language, training techniques including classical and operant conditioning, natural
horsemanship techniques, dominance techniques. Horse whispering demystified, animal communication. A 1-2 hour herd
observation (which can be implemented with any herd) completes the course. Student has regular interaction with instructor
via email and discussion following the herd observation is the capstone! Especially useful for "the city horse-person" who
does not have regular access to the herd environment.
