THE FLIP CHART
We have developed a Quick Reference First Aid Flip Chart for Barn and Trail. It is easy to use, compact
and you can hang it in the barn on a nail or put it in your saddle bag for the trail.
The FLIP CHART grew out of our on-site Equine First Aid course that we offer at our Rescue facility. We wanted
something a horse owner could quickly reference in an emergency.
The FLIP CHART is handmade by Rescue volunteers and proceeds from its sale go toward feed and healthcare for
our rescued horses.
It is accompanied by a Reference Guide which provides detailed information on each topic. The Flip Chart contains
pages on Vital Signs, Shock, Snake Bite, Colic, Choke, Injuries, Allergic Reactions, Poisoning, Heat Stroke, Hoof Abscesses,
Bleeding. Additional information on sedative/tranquilizers, and options for pain control, suggestions for medications
to have on hand, barn and trail first aid kits is included in the Guide..
Both conventional and complementary applications are included: Diagrams with acupressure points for
shock and colic.
